Hi there! I’m not your typical QuickBooks Pro-Advisor — I’m a down-to-earth CFO, Controller, Accountant, and Business Consultant who actually loves helping businesses and property management companies to make sense of their money. With decades of experience, I bring both structure and heart to every spreadsheet, audit, and financial plan.

My Family Roots in Business

I come from a family of business owners, so entrepreneurship has always been in my blood. Growing up, conversations around numbers, invoices, and growth plans were just part of dinner talk. That early exposure planted the seed for everything I do today.

How It All Started

At around age 10 or 12, my dad sat me in front of a computer, popped in a floppy disk of QuickBooks, and told me to get to work. I thought it was a computer game! He’d hand me stacks of receipts, and I’d “play” by entering them into QuickBooks.

It took me a few years to realize that my “game” was actually bookkeeping. Turns out, I’d been earning my accounting stripes long before I knew what accounting even was.

Even at my very first job at Spencer’s, I somehow ended up managing the store’s accounting processes. It’s like numbers and I were always meant to be.

From Property Management to Compliance Expert

I later transitioned into property management, where I flipped properties and worked closely with CEOs, CFOs, and regional managers. We specialized in newly purchased foreclosure multifamily affordable housing properties, and my role was to:

  • Perform full audits
  • Create workflows and training processes
  • Master LIHTC and MOR audits
  • Navigate affordable housing compliance

My goal was always to get each property up and running — financially stable, compliant, and ready for success. 

Building My Own Dream

After years in the property management world, I decided to start my own business — combining everything I’d learned to help others expand their dreams. That’s how Counting Consultants was born.

Now, I partner with business owners, property management companies, and entrepreneurs to create clarity, confidence, and compliance — without the corporate fluff.

  • Certified Affordable Housing Manager (CAHM)
  • Certified Financial Specialist (CFS)

Counting Consultants is also certified in Property Management and Affordable Housing, including LIHTC and blended compliance programs.
